Listening for humpback whales (2012)
I am currently working as a Research Assistant with Pacific Whale Foundation where research projects focus on long-term distribution and abundance trends of humpback whales, odontocetes, and marine debris surrounding Maui.
My research interests include animal behavior, bioacoustics, animal communication, foraging ecology, and movement patterns of populations and individuals.
In May 2015, I completed my MS degree at Syracuse University working under Dr. Susan Parks. My thesis addressed individuality in the acoustic characteristics of upcalls produced by North Atlantic right whales.
